Forget your troubles and immerse yourself for the day in the music of Mozart: beautiful, elegant, melodious, serene, magical. Our musical goal will be to create something near to this with the help of our talented Music Director, Jeremy Backhouse.

Mozart’s Solemn Vespers from 1780 sound simply divine and his Mass in C minor, the Great Mass 1783, is for some the only significant choral work composed between Bach’s B minor Mass and Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis. It is a work of conspicuous power and beauty in which some of the choruses are dark-toned and others forthright and vigorous. Join us in January for a day that’s guaranteed to warm you up! Requirements to join the day are a love of singing and choral music, and £24! What you will receive in return is the hire of the scores, tea and/or coffee, homemade soup and a ploughman’s, the company of others who enjoy singing and a day of music led by our Music Director.

Our annual Vivace ‘Come and Sing’ day is extremely popular and is now sold out.
